Wildcat pride was on full display this season! Congratulations to our girls’ basketball team for earning 3rd place at the Juegos Deportivos Estudiantiles 2026 — a fantastic result that reflects months of hard work, teamwork, and determination here at our American school in Costa Rica.
Determination on and off the court
From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, our athletes brought energy, focus, and heart to every game of the tournament — including a commanding 53–36 victory that showed just how far this team has come. They pushed each other, supported one another, and never stopped fighting for every rebound and every point.
A 3rd-place finish at a competition of this level is no small feat. It’s the product of countless practices, early mornings, and a shared belief in what the team could accomplish together.
Representing MBS with class
What made us proudest wasn’t only the result — it was how our girls represented Marian Baker School both on and off the court. They competed with intensity and carried themselves with respect, encouraging teammates and opponents alike.
That’s the Wildcat spirit: compete hard, lift each other up, and represent your school with pride.
